Julie passed away at @ 21.45 on the 29th of august 2010 at the james cook university hospital in middlesbrough after her 3 year battle with breast cancer, having had various treatments to bring it under control, including a double mastectomy, chemotherapy and the "post-code drug" herceptin. Sadly none of the treatments did much good, it seems they have varying degrees of effectiveness from person to person. Due to the chemo she lost her hair twice and grew it back in between, so she had various wigs during the treatment, and looked marvellous in them all.
